I recently became aware of your music, to my everlasting shame. You are a TITAN! A Sensei of the String. I bow to the Electric Samurai. I am currently endeavoring to obtain everything you ever recorded.
You are elevated into my guitar pantheon with Steve Vai, Marc Knoffler, Andre Segovia, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Django Reinhardt, and Angus Young.

Hotei, I just want to thank you for another amazing album. Ambivalence is great, I love it! My favorite tracks are "Black Chameleon", "Nightmares", and "xxxKISSxxx".
I've been an American fan for years--even before Kill Bill came out. I hope someday, you will consider an American tour.

Every time I watch Samurai Fiction, the music is simply amazing. Every time I listen to Song of Darkness it makes me want to be a better guitarist

Like couple of others guitarist (John Petrucci, Joe Satriani...), you inspired lot of people to become a guitarist (or just try to play guitar :o). But what I like the most in your songs, it's not your guitar playing but your melody, it's not just playing as fast as possible like so many guitarist but to be really inspired when you make your songs. So thank you Mr Hotei for your songs, keep it going and let's rock !

Hi!
I'm completely fascinated by the solos of Battle Without Honor and Howling. I've been trying to play BWH, but it just doesn't feel right without the effect.
Would you mind telling me what kind of effects processor do you use?

Hotei, Is there any plans on putting out a DVD of the Soul Sessions with Char and Setzer?? Also A Live DVD of you would also be a great addition to everyones music DVD Library!
